The invention relates to a method for controlling a CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) system associated rail vehicle, which is about to be CBTC-vehicle device in communication link with a CBTC-section device, which in turn is communicatively connected to a CBTC interlocking. In order to design such a method that, even when an interruption of the communication link between CBTC-vehicle unit and CBTC wayside rail to proceed largely undisturbed, it is of the CBTC trackside equipment (2) at a termination of the communication link (3) a blocking command (BK) is generated and sent and CBTC from the positioner (11) to the received lock command (BK) towards existing resolution of the time of cancellation of the communication connection (3) routes (FS) for the rail vehicle (1) blocked.
