Performances de production du cobaye ( Cavia porcellus ) en fonction du niveau de spiruline de la ration dans la région de l’Ouest-Cameroun

La supplementation proteique en alimentation animale constitue un important facteur de production. Ainsi, la supplementation a la spiruline sur les performances de production du cobaye a ete etudiee. Soixante femelles pesant 450 ± 50 g et âgees entre 5 et 6 mois, ont ete croisees suivant un dispositif factoriel de quatre lots de 15 femelles chacun pour 2 mâles. Chaque animal recevait au quotidien 40 g de ration contenant 0%, 2%, 4% ou 6% de spiruline en plus de la graminee ( Trypsacum laxum ). Les refus alimentaires etaient collectes au quotidien pour l’evaluation de l’ingestion. Cette etude montre que la portee des animaux du lot TS6 etait plus elevee (1,45) et superieure a celle des animaux des autres lots. Les taux les plus eleves pour tous les autres parametres ont ete observes avec le lot TS6. Independamment du sexe, au sevrage, le poids des jeunes cobayes le plus faible (169,65 g) a ete obtenu dans le lot TS4. Les Gain Moyen Quotidien (GMQ) et Totaux (GT) les plus eleves (95,70 g, 4, 56 g/j respectivement) ont ete obtenus avec le lot TS6. Il ressort de ce travail que les rations TS2 et TS6 conviennent au cobaye en gestation et les jeunes pre-sevres. English Title: Production performances of cavy (Cavia porcellus) according to the spirulina level in the diet in West region of Cameroon Protein supplementation in animal feeding constitute an important production factor. Thus, the supplementation of T. laxum with spirulina on the cavy production performances was study. Sixty females aged between 5 and 6 months with average weigth of 450 ± 50 g were crossed with 8 males for a period of 31days according to a factorial design, with 15 females and 2 mâles each. Each group received a diet containing 0%, 2%, 4% or 6% of spirulina in addition to grasse ( T. laxum ). Left over were collected daily. The result shown that, the highest litter size was in group TS6. It was the same for others reproduction parametter. Without consideration of sex, the highest body weigths of young guinea pigs (92, 36 and 189, 30 g) were obtained in control group (TS0), but were comparable to those of TS2 and TS6 groups. The highest total (TWG) and daily weight gain (DWG) (95, 70 and 4, 56 g/day) was obtained in group TS6. There were comparable to those of animals of groups TS0 and TS2. It appers that diets containing TS2 and TS6 are suitatable for guinea pigs during pregnancy and pre-weaning. Keyswords : Cavia porcellus , performance, production, level of spirulina, West-Cameroon
