Research on Fault Diagnosis and Analysis Method of Converter Transformer

The converter transformer is the core equipment for power conversion and transmission, and it is also the most important equipment for Ultra High Voltage Direct Current Transmission (UHVDC). It often breaks down in the process of operation. Diagnosing and analyzing the failures is of great significance for maintaining the stable operation of the power system. For this reason, this paper divided converter transformers according to their components, summarized the multiple faults, fault causes and diagnosis methods of each component, and proposed the fault diagnosis method for converter transformers, so that the fault types and faults of converter transformers can be found in time. In this way, the safe and reliable operation of the converter transformer can be guaranteed.
