Research on Application of TDOA Wi-Fi Positioning Based on Adaptive Genetic Algorithm

Taking into account that TDOA genetic algorithm is susceptible to measurement error, TDOA positioning algorithm based on adaptive genetic algorithm (ADGA) is proposed in this paper on the basis of original TDOA positioning algorithm which is based on genetic algorithm. In addition to applying the dynamical crossover and mutation probability distribution in the evolutionary process, the distribution of the parent and the individual progeny are also taken into consideration in the improved algorithm, so as to avoid premature convergence. The simulation results show that the method is effective, and the positioning accuracy is vastly improved when Gaussian noise is used.
