Abstract "20th Century Theological Research in Liturgy: Portraits of its Exponents Writing in German": First Impression by a Reader from a Protestant Perspective (Book Report). The advantages and limitations of portraying the research in a field through biographical articles are discussed. Remarks on the long history of liturgical anti-modernism and on the sensitive relationship between liturgy and politics are added.
