Efecto del FIBRALAX en el tratamiento de la constipación: estudio clinico preliminar

A preliminary clinical test for the treatment of constipation using a powdered beverage containing pineaple peel dietary fiber. FIBRALAX, was carried out. A double blind test was performed using either the product for a placebo in 20 patients aged from 3 to 15 years old during 30 ± 10 days. Both faeces consistency and defecation frequency were assessed. Results showed an 80% improvemente for FIBRALAX consumers against only 20% for placebo. Furthermore good aceptance and tolerance of the product in infants and adolescents were observed
