Study on Effect of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction on Uric Acid Metabolism in Patients with Phlegm-Damp Accumulation Sydnrome of Hypertension Associated with Hyperuricemia

Objective: To study the effect of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction on uric acid metabolism in patients with phlegm-damp accumulation sydnrome of hypertension associated with hyperuricemia. Methods: 60 cases with peptic ulcer patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group and each group contained 30 cases. The treatment group took traditional Chinese medicine Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction and the control group was given Losartan. Eight weeks was a course of treatment. The changes in serum level of uric acid and hypertension were observed after treatment by Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction for eight weeks. Results: The curative total effective rate was 89. 7% in the treatment group and higher than 71. 4% in the control group( P 0. 05). The treatment group's blood uric acid level after treatment was lower than that before treatment( P 0. 01).Treatment group's blood uric acid level after treatment was significantly lower than that of the control group( P 0. 05). Conclusion: Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction can reduce the blood pressure and it can also decrease the serum level of uric acid.
