Analysis on Key Wear Technology of the TBM Disc Cutter

The paper researches on key technology related to TBM disc cutter,and the rock breaking mechanism and disc cutter wear is analyzed.The stone physical property combined with indentation fracture mechanics,the factors influencing on disc cutter wear and rock breaking mechanism are confirmed through researching on double-shielded TBM made by a company for Tao River Water Project.Disc cutters layout principle,motion characteristics,rock breaking mechanism,disc cutter wear and the factors influencing on disc cutter wear are confirmed.The results indicate that cutter head should satisfy wear resistance requirement,disc cutters layout should accord with space force system balance,tools height differencing shouldn't exceed 15mm to avoid a majority of disc cutters wear.Tunnel parameters and normal wear parameters should be observed at the same time in order to avoid other cutters wear.Research results demonstrate cutter head design should accord with wear resistance requirement,normal wear parameters and tunnel parameters observation is strengthen,disc cutter wear is controlled and tunnel parameters is optimized at the same time to avoid a majority of cutters wear.
