The invention relates to a method for imaging the surroundings of a vehicle (5), wherein objects are detected around the vehicle (5) with sensors and each detected objects with two coordinate points (11, 13) and one (at the respective coordinate points 11, 13 ) associated position blur are described (15), the coordinate points (11, 13) and the position of blurs (is stored 15) as data in an interface that can be accessed (of driving assistance systems of the vehicle 5). The invention further relates to a method for determining the probability of collision of a vehicle (5) with an object in which initially the surroundings of the vehicle (5) using the method for imaging the surroundings of a vehicle (5) is imaged, in a next step, a from the vehicle (5) to be propelled by driving tube (23) is determined and finally the degree of coverage of the object with the driving tube (23) and thus the collision probability in consideration of the blur position (15) is determined.
