Integrating Vendor Supplied Management Reports for Serials Evaluation: The Medical College of Wisconsin Experience

Large price increases as well as the need to subscribe to new journals in key research areas underscore the need for improved analysis of journal price and use information. This article outlines a process used at a medical research library in which local use data and vendor information are integrated to produce management reports. The underlying data must provide the flexibility to produce and evaluate a variety of options. A more standardized approach would benefit libraries as well as vendors.
