The significance of family in bringing up children

The paper presents the significance of family from the perspective of Republic of Poland constitution and the Family and Guardianship Code. Family models and functions have been characterised. Styles of child upbringing that impact the children’s psyche have been discussed. The significance of the family environment for a child’s social and emotional development has been highlighted. What is more, mistakes in bringing children up have been analysed.
