Study on Driving Efficiency and Technique Optimization of Continuous Miner in Semi Coal and Rock Gateway

In order to solve the suitability and efficiency of the continuous miner driving in the semi coal and rock gateway in seam with a thickness below 1.7 m in Shendong Mining Area,a site observation and analysis was conducted on the driving of the gateway in No.2-2 upper seam of Shigetai Mine.The study showed that with the thickness of the seam reduced,the driving rate per day was reduced and he relationship between the two factors could be fitted as four multinomial.With the application of the continuous miner,the average month driving rate of the gateway in No.2-2 upper seam could be over 900 m.The continuous miner could meet the rapid driving requirements.With the rapid removal,extended center distance of the connection gateway,insurance of the equipment repair and maintenance quality and other measures,the driving efficiency would be improved.
