Web blown for heat cutter and the web in the transverse direction fusing apparatus

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat cutter for fusion-cutting a web which is capable of sharply and stably cutting the wide web at a high speed in the lateral direction at a low cost, and to provide a device for fusion-cutting a wide web in the lateral direction with the heat cutter. SOLUTION: The heat cutter for fusion-cutting the wide web has a metal plate welded on a web-contacting surface (inner surface) of a long sheath heater and further a metal plate also welded on the opposite side (outer surface) of the inner surface of the sheath heater, and the device for fusion-cutting the wide web in the lateral direction for cutting the web in the lateral direction uses the heat cutter.
