Polysomnography in the spectrum of acquired epileptiform aphasia

2003
ABSTRACT.Full night polysomnography (PSG) is proving to be useful in evaluating children with language and developmental disorders. PSG evaluation sometimes demonstrates epileptiform activity in children with loss of language who have had no seizures. PSG is also helpful in diagnosing syndromes within the autistic spectrum, a step critical to early intervention and specific treatment.
