A driving mechanism with single motor and coaxial two wheels for 100% low-floor light rigid wheel is characterized in that: two sets of driving units, which are constructed by a motor and two gear transmission mechanisms, are diagonally arranged on two sides of a bogie, and the gear transmission mechanisms externally engage with the conical gear right-angle transmission system with straight gear teeth, and are in transmission connection with the wheel pairs through elastic couplings. Two sets of driving units, which are constructed by a motor and two gear transmission mechanisms, are diagonally arranged on two sides of a bogie, thus the space in the middle of the bogie is saved to reduce the plate height of the vehicle body to achieve the trough design of 100% low-floor, and the wheel pairs are driven by utilizing the characteristic that the angular velocities of coaxial two wheels are the same of the rigid wheel pair. The gear transmission mechanisms externally engage with the conical gear right-angle transmission system with straight gear teeth, and thus the transmission efficiency is improved.
