Suppression of lymphocyte blastogenesis to mitogens in cats experimentally infected with feline immunodeficiency virus

1990
Abstract Lymphocytes from normal cats or cats experimentally infected with feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) were stimulated with phytohemagglutinin, pokeweed mitogen, or concanavalin A. Lymphocytes from infected cats had lower responses than those from uninfected cats. These results support the hypothesis that FIV induces immunosuppression.
