Control gear and auxiliary machines for d.c. multiple-unit electric trains
1950
The paper reviews present practice and the more recent developments in the design, grouping, and mounting of the control equipment and the auxiliary machines employed on multiple-unit electric trains. It covers only d. c. operation and the rheostatic accelerating-equipment usually employed on trains of this type. Electric braking is dealt with in another paper and is therefore excluded.
