SK Pembimbing: Analisis Genetik Kelinci Belang Sumatera (Nesolagus Netscheri) Asal Sumatera Selatan Menggunakan Penanda Gen 12S rRNA dan COI

2020
The Sumatran Striped Rabbit (Nesolagus netscheri) is an endemic animal protected by Government Regulation Number 7 of 1999 and the renewal of Regulation of tlae Minister of Environment and Forestry No. P. 106 year 2018. Categorized as Data Deficient by lUCN (International Union of Conservation of Nature) since 2019. N. netscheri can be found at altitudes above 600 meters above sea level, in mountainous and sub-mountainous habitats. N. netscheri samples were obtained from Pagar Alam, South Sumatra. Information and studies on the genetics of these species are needed, so research on genetic analysis of N. netscheri will play a very important role in conservation efforts in the future. This study aims to obtain DNA profiles through genetic analysis of the Sumafran striped rabbit (Nesolagus netscheri) from South Sumafra using the 12S ribosomal RNA (12S rRNA) and Cytochrome Oxidase sub-unit I (COI) gene marker. There is no specific information regarding genetic analysis using the 12S rRNA and COI gene markers in Nesolagus netscheri from South" Sumafra, so the results of this study provide important information at the genetic level.
