Method for Selecting Error-Correcting Code Parameters Based on Prediction of the State of a Communication Channel

The article is devoted to the study of the effectiveness of the methods for evaluating and predicting the state of the communication channel, which are used to organize the operation of the adaptive noise-resistant telemetry data transmission system. The study was carried out using the proposed methods and the participation of the noise-resistant Bowes-Chowdhury-Hockingham code in a binary symmetric channel. The data obtained allowed us to determine the optimal parameters of the system, to evaluate the performance of the proposed methods and showed the advantage of using a combined approach based on the joint use of methods for estimating and predicting the state of a communication channel over their separate use.
