The article deals with modern problems of clinical training of medical students in Russia. A critical analysis of the shortcomings of the existing five-point control of students` knowledge is done. An original method for the rating system of evaluation of students` knowledge, based on the detailed development of knowledge, subject to absorption in practical classes in the standards and the responses to each task. A method for objective control of the acquired skills of the students ‘ «clinical thinking» is stated.
