Optimierung der Heisspressung von Platten aus SiC-Whisker verstärktem Al2O3 mit einem Durchmesser ≥ 250 mm mit homogener Dichteverteilung

The aim of the present study was to investigate a optimum for the production of homogene SiC-reinforced Al 2 O 3 -plates with diameters ≥ 250 mm by hotpressing. By optimising hotpress tools and hotpress cycles, it is possible to get plates up to diameters of 300 mm with a homogen density distribution of ± 0,03 g/cm 3 . This will also be possible for multiple pressing of plates in one cycle. The homogenity was proofed by using an ultrasonic technique.
