Liquid crystal display (LCD) with uniform brightness and method for removing LCD dark spaces

2009
The invention provides a liquid crystal display (LCD) with uniform brightness and a method for removing LCD dark spaces. The LCD with uniform brightness comprises a rectangular light guide plate (LGP), the LGP is printed with screen dots, four sides of the LGP are provided with LEDs, and four corners of the LGP are respectively provided with a chamfer; and a reflective piece is arranged at the position corresponding to the chamfer of the LCD and is coated with reflective materials. The screen dot density of the dark space of the LGP is higher than the screen dot density of any other spaces. The invention can reduce or even eliminate dark spaces to greatly improve the whole brightness and uniformity of the LCD by adding chamfers at the four corners of the LGP to match with the distribution of the screen dots to change light paths. At the same time, the invention also features convenience and practicability, is suitable for mass production, is capable of ensuring product consistency and is easy for popularization.
