Solution of the neutron transport equation by means of hermite-S∞-theory

A stable numerical approximation (Hα-S∞) is obtained through the use of Hermite's method of order α(Hα) in the spatial integration of the 1D neutron transport equation. The theory for α=1 is applied to a one-group shielding problem.
