Research Progress of Institution and Management in Pastoral Area in China

The root causes of multidimensional dilemma for pastoral area are inappropriate institution and management measures.The development of institutional evolution theory and its application in Chinese agriculture study prompt the pastoral area research in institutional view,recent studies mainly made analysis of property rights and cultural characteristics of pastoral area based on the new institutional economics theory,as well as explored adaptive management measures of different interfaces of pratacultural system.Through commentary on new institutional economics research and adaptive management research in pastoral areas,that the systematic framework and scientific theoretical system is expected to be formed in the current study was pointed out.In terms of the institution concept recognizing,the emphasize should be put on the impact caused by the technological change and the interests pattern;in order to get a clear understanding of the institutional evolution in pastoral areas,it should focus on the analysis of institutional evolution process and macroeconomic background;economic activity and behavioral mechanisms should be analyzed in pastoral areas,in order to make effective policy recommendations;appropriate parameters and methods should be found to connect studies in different research fields and interfaces.Moreover,there exists typical and special problems in pastoral areas,based on which as a starting point,the innovative research can be made,multi-field research with more empirical analysis can be used to provide practical ideas for resolving multidimensional dilemma in pastoral areas.
