[Technique for intracavitary radiotherapy using an iridium 192 wire ("umbrella") in the treatment of adenocarcinoma of the body of the uterus (author's transl)].

1977
: The description of an intrauterine device for the application of local radiotherapy in non-radioactive preparation. The device consists of polyethylene tubes froming two perpendicular loops joined and fixed and their topmost point by ligature. A traction wire is used to open these loops, therby obtaining a cuboid target-volume from four radioactive lines. Dosimetry for this technique (known as "umbrella") may be obtained using a computerised programme.
