The embodiment of the invention provides a method for processing service and network equipment. The method comprises a step of receiving a first service request message sent by user equipment, a step of determining service requested by the first service request message, a step of sending the first service request message to a first value added server. According to the method and the equipment provided by the embodiment of the invention, the request message can be directly sent to the value added server which is used for providing value added service according to the service request message. Thus, time delay caused by allowing the service request message to pass through unnecessary value added servers can be reduced, and the processing speed for providing value added service for the service request message is accelerated.
