Contribution of biotechnology to infertility

2007
The examples of the contribution of new knowledge in Life Sciences and Biotechnologies are numerous. However, before expanding further on this new knowledge, it is worthwhile to realize that improvements in production processes based on the mastery of fermentation and production methods that increase safety and reduce risk are also noteworthy innovations. These new production methods are important improvements which, oftentimes, are not highlighted enough. Furthermore, the “Biotechnology revolution” is also unrecognized by the greater public, doctors and patients as being the fruit of intense research activities. Although there are many examples of the contribution of this research, this article focuses on one of them: human reproduction.
