Initial phantom measurements of the Doppler effect during respiration in BAN
2016
This paper evaluates the effect of the human respiration process on the in-body to on-body (IB2OB) propagation channel for Ultra Wideband (UWB) Body Area Networks (BAN) at certain frequencies: 3.1 GHz, 4.8 GHz, 6GHz, 7 GHz and 8 GHz. The Doppler shift produced by the respiration movement induced to a transmitter device immersed inside a liquid phantom is quantified.
