The method has the advantages that an inhibiting action between potential buds on single rhizome of paris polyphylla can be avoided completely, the propagation coefficient is increased to the greatest extent, the genetic stability of the paris polyphylla breed is guaranteed sufficiently, and high probability of variation of seeds and tissue culture seedlings is eliminated. Compared with other propagation methods using the rhizomes, completely independent plants can be formed and seedlings with multiple buds can be further formed with the method.
