Building the Wired Home

Visions of the ‘digital home’ are numerous, both within BT and outside, and the diversity of these ‘visions’ is bewildering to many, not least the consumer. The New Ventures team within BT Retail's Consumer Division is no exception, and is actively engaged in mapping a multifaceted vision. To achieve this the team has been working closely with colleagues across BT to develop a strategy which would allow the company to present a common view to our key audiences—those who would help to achieve significant revenues from this new business opportunity. There have been notable achievements along the way, and this paper outlines where we began, where we are now, and what the next steps will be.
