The method comprises the following steps: when a vehicle is started, acquiring image information of a driver in real time, analyzing the acquired image, judging whether the vehicle is driven by the same driver and monitoring the continuous driving time of the driver; meanwhile, processing the acquired driver image; determining the eye position of the driver; detecting the winking frequency and the eye open-close degree of the driver; analyzing and judging the driving state of the driver by combining the sightline dispersion degree and the gazing-positioning-pausing degree of the driver; and taking alarm and brake measures when the driver is in a fatigue driving state. The invention has the advantages that a reliable monitor system for preventing fatigue driving is provided, traffic accidents caused by the fatigue driving can be effectively avoided and the safety of people and vehicles can be ensured.
