La presente investigacion estuvo dirigida a realizar un analisis del comportamiento de las estructuras mixtas formadas por columnas de concreto armado con vigas y losas de acero ante las acciones sismicas, mediante la comparacion con estructuras tradicionales de concreto armado y de acero. Para ello se disenaron estructuras con una geometria regular de 10, 12 y 14 pisos, mediante el modelamiento en el programa ETABS. Se considero un uso habitacional, zona sismica Z3 y tipo de suelo S3. Asi mismo, en cuanto a la metodologia de estudio, esta investigacion se clasifico como no experimental y de tipo descriptiva, ya que no se manipulo la variable de estudio y solo se definio el comportamiento sismorresistente a traves de dicho software. Se compararon los resultados de las nueve estructuras y se encontro que las estructuras mixtas se comportan de forma eficiente y apropiada, ya que cumplen con los parametros establecidos en la norma sismorresistente de Venezuela. Esto significa que este tipo edificaciones estudiadas puede ser una nueva alternativa constructiva eficaz gracias al aprovechamiento y optimizacion de las propiedades de cada material. Abstract The present research was directed to perform an analysis of the behavior of mixed structures formed by columns of concrete reinforced with beams and slabs of steel under actions seismic, through the comparison with structures traditional of concrete reinforced and of steel. Structures with regular geometry of 10, 12 and 14 floors, through the modeling of them in ETABS program were designed for this. It’s considered a residential use, area seismic Z3 and type of soil S3. Likewise, with regard to the methodology of study, this research is qualified as not experimental and of type descriptive, because not is manipulate the variable of study and only is defined the behavior seismoresistant through referred software. It’s compared the results of nine structures and is found that them structures mixed behave of form efficient and appropriate, since satisfied the parameters established in the standard earthquake resistant of Venezuela. This means that such buildings studied can be a new efficient constructive alternative through the use and optimization of the properties of each material.
