Dane geoprzestrzenne w planach zarządzania ryzykiem powodziowym

2014
Planning in water management utilizes a wide range of geospatial data. Their importance is particularly significant in the case of flood management plans in which risk is a function of hazard, exposure and vulnerability to flooding. Geospatial data are used in determining the risk of the first two components. Flood hazard zones allow analysis of flood extent depending on the probability of occurrence of the phenomenon. By analyzing exposure it is possible to evaluate the potential losses in the event of flooding. These two elements allow to carry out risk analyzes and the development variant action programmes for hazardous areas and then to choose optimal variant from the point of view of pre-defined objectives of flood risk management.
