The wetting angle of metal on the lining of the crucible of vacuum-type induction furnaces

An investigation was carried out on the change in the angle of wetting θ of iron 3ZhR and steel Kh16 on specimens of the corundum lining of the crucible after the campaign, and of the influence of the oxides of the alloying constituents on the wettability of the corundum lining by the molten metal.
