The invention relates to driving assistance systems (108) which are adapted to output representations of surroundings of a vehicle to a driver. The invention further relates to a method in such a driving assistance system, comprising the steps of: Detecting at least one ambient representation representing at least a section of the real environment of the vehicle (100); Transforming the at least one environmental representation to a representation (130) of the real environment from a virtual point of view; Determine object-related information with respect to at least one remote object (106); Displaying the representation (130) of the real environment, wherein a synthetic representation (132) of the at least one remote object (106) is displayed, taking into account the object-related data.
