Ceramic Composite Material Based on Silicon Carbide and Corundum with a Corundum Matrix

Results are provided for studying preparation and some properties of an abrasive composite material of the SiC–Al2O3 system with a corundum matrix. The material is prepared by adding molten aluminum to a charge used in existing manufacturing technology for commercial grade silicon carbide.
