Pharmacokinetics of Antiglaucoma Medications

2011
Pharmacokinetics may be simply defined as what the body does to the drug, as opposed to pharmacodynamics which may be defined as what the drug does to the body. This review is dedicated to the fate of antiglaucoma medications administerd externally. A special focus is made on the preservatives used in the antiglaucoma medications. Although from a pharmacokinetic point of view, these preservatives may improve drug penetration but their ocular surface adverse effects cannot be ignored.
