Photometry and spectroscopy of the newly discovered eclipsing binary GSC 4589‐2999

New CCD light curves of the recently detected eclipsing variable GSC 4589-2999 were obtained and analysed using the Wilson-Deninney code. Spectroscopic observations of the system allowed the spectral classification of the components and the determination of their radial velocities.
