Göç ve Kentleşme Sürecinde Ergenleri Madde Kullanımına Yönelten Sosyal Bağlamın Analizi

In this study, the social context of the family or the adolescents who migrated to Yavuzturk or Kirazlitepe neighborhoods in Uskudar District of Istanbul, which are under the urbanization project was analysed. In this context, a total of 40 interviews were conducted, including 13 adolescents who have dropped out of the school using a semi-structured interview technique and 27 people from different areas in their social context. As a result of the analysis of the obtained findings, the challenges immigrant families and their children living in the neighborhoods where urbanization problems continue face during the adaptation process, the impact of the socioeconomic status of the families on raising children and their attitude toward substance use, the lack of positive role models in their immediate surroundings or the presence of wrong role models, the approaches of peer groups towards substance use and the social media's orientation are determining factors for adolescents use of these substances.
