Theoretical justification of a deconvolution method for analysing complex dielectric data

1988
Analysis of dielectric spectra, obtained either in frequency or time-domain was always a major problem for searchers. According to molecular sizes, measurements temperatures and physical states of the studied compounds, several theories may be considered to explain their relaxations. (Bottcher et al., 1978; Davies et al., 1977; Goodman 1980). In the special case of large and heavy molecules, studied at high temperatures in a condensed state, it seems reasonable to admit that the relaxation spectrum may be reduced to a distribution of elementary Debye domains. Thus it is essential to derive this distribution from frequential or temporal measurements.
