Cancer of the biliary tree

Summary o 1.Two hundred eighteen patients operated upon for cancer of the biliary tree are reported on. 2.In 90 per cent of these patients, curable resections were not possible. 3.In the 10 per cent who are operable, adequate treatment can produce long term survivors. 4.Palliative procedures performed on sixty-five patients increase the survival and comfort of the patient.
