The dynamics of a high-current pulsed discharge (500-2000 A) in a vacuum k(10 −5 Pa) and in air at atmospheric pressure on cathodes with inclusions of an emission-active phase (LaB 6 and ZrC) was studied. A coaxial electrode geometry was used in the first case and a point (anode)-plane geometry was used in the second case. The dynamics of the cahtode spots and of the interelectrode plasma cloud was investigated with the help of a streak camera
