Experimental Study of Disequilibriums in Photovoltaic Solar Arrays

1981
The characteristics of twelve 11 W solar modules have been recorded, under precise light flux and temperature conditions, to obtain a measure of the dispersion due to manufacturing processes. Possible series parallel combinations of these modules are analyzed with and without equilibrium lines. Influence of the load value is pointed out. An attempt is made to relate the observed disequilibriums to both observed dispersions and computed simulations. Dynamical thermal effects are introduced and give explanation for the temperature evolution of cells, as for the shift of electrical operating points of elementary cells with time.
