Homing architectures in multi-layer networks: Quantifying the effect of ODU switching

Alternative homing architectures can lead to significant cost reductions. Using linear programming we quantify these reductions for IPoWDM and IPoOTN networks under a multilayer consideration for a reference network topology and varying traffic demand.
