Performance of an Active Power Filter when Combined with Static Compensation Units under non-Linear Loads

Effective performance of active power filters when combined with static compensation units operated in the power system with nonlinear loads has been considered in this article. The paper presents therefore, results of selected experimental and simulation studies to specify the conditions and the risks of such cooperation. On the basis of the results obtained, respective conclusions and recommendations for practice are formulated.
