Brake systems and methods for operating a brake system for a vehicle

The present invention relates to a braking system for a vehicle having at least a first brake circuit (14) with a release valve (22) which is so connected with the master brake cylinder (10), that the brake medium displacement of a main brake cylinder (10) in a first wheel (16a) and a second wheel cylinder (16b) is unterbindbar by means of closing the isolating valve (22), wherein a braking medium volume from a brake-medium reservoir (12) in the first wheel (16a) and the second wheel cylinder (16b) is pumped by a first pump, and wherein a braking medium support from the brake-medium reservoir (12) in both the first wheel (16a) and into the second wheel cylinder (16b) is prevented by means of a closure of a pump control valve (32) in spite of a drive of the first pump (28). Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for operating a brake system for a vehicle.
