Validation for turbulent mixing simulations

We compare simulation studies of acceleration driven mixing (the Rayleigh-Taylor instability) to laboratory experiments. Good agreement is obtained for variables describing the large scale aspects of the mixing process. (© 2008 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
