Simulation Research on Steering Qualities of Loader Fitted with Rubber Tracks Based on Virtual Prototype Technology

The steering quality is one of the most important targets which reflect the flexibility of the vehicles. In this paper, the basic composition of the changeable tracks was introduced and then a virtual prototype of the shovel loader with four tracks was established according to the truth designing dimensions. After which the simulation was done to analysis it’s steering qualities. The results indicate that the shovel loader with four tracks have strong maneuverability and stability when turning around. This simulation provides theory supports for the further research of this new kind of tread structure.
