プレガバリンカプセルとプレガバリン口腔内崩壊錠(OD錠)における患者嗜好調査

2018
Background & Objective:New orally disintegrating tabletsOD) were added to pregabalin (Lyrica(R)) only in Japan in June 2017. The objective is to compare the preference of pregabalin OD tablet and pregabalin capsule by questionnaire. Method:From July to December 2017, 206 subjects who got consent at our collaborative research facility with our hospital were targeted. 104 patients already taking capsules were treated as a continuation group. Whether to continue it as it is, or to change to OD, was selected and further investigated one month after changing to OD. 102 newly prescribed patients were selected as new groups and asked whether to select OD or capsule during pregabalin prescription and investigated the reason. Whether to continue the selected dosage form one month later or not was investigated. Result:In the continuing group, 42 patients (40%) selected intraorally disintegrating tablets, whereas 62 cases(63%) selected capsules were significantly more. In the new group, 38 cases(37%) were selected for oral capsule administration, while 64 cases(63%) selected orally disintegrating tablets were significantly more. Conclusion:Selection of orally disintegrating tablets was thought to be useful for improving internal medication adherence, but many patients prefer the oral capsule medicine because they are used to them. Considering the habit of “already taking medicine” and the palatability of the patient as well as further grasping the state of taking the patient, it is possible to dare to the capsule preference patient or the patient who is already taking the capsule, and intentionally orally disintegrating tablets. It is important to examine whether it is necessary to change to medication adherence to the patients who prefer capsule.
