Due to the continuous increase in the population and although campaigns are constantly being carried out to avoid throwing away food that is still in good condition, the existence of food banks, efforts to make changes in the processes in the supply chain, still remain short, it is for this reason that technology, whether from digital applications, machine learning, data analytics, enterprise resource planning systems to mention some of the tools that are currently available and that if implemented and articulated in processes can greatly contribute to reducing food waste and loss globally.
